First Nine Weeks
Fitness Activities for Grades K-5 Abdomen – Planks, Crunches, Moving the ball with feet, twist for oblique and abs Back – superman on stomach, move arms Arms – medicine balls, bands, push-ups, scooters, rope climb, swing on rope Cardio – hopscotch, skip, gallop, karaoke, run zigzag between cones, jump ropes, tag games Flexibility – stretching of various muscles Skills and Activities for K-2 *Skill grade is bases on these skills *Catching and throwing - throwing to self, partner and targets using bean bags and foam balls Game - Clean your room Kicking - soccer dribbling, inside of foot pass, kicking at goals, Games - 4 team soccer, Agility and Coordination – balance, hula-hoop skills, tag games, skipping, and karaoke Games - Line tag, Hit the Caboose, Magic Ring, Mosquito Tag Rhythms- jump rope and dances for Retro Day Skills and Activities for 3rd-5th *Skill grade is bases on these skills Throwing and catching – Partner passing, Running patterns with football Games - Flag football, I’m Open, Electric Fence Agility and Coordination - tag games Games - Mosquito Tag, Rip Flags, Hit the Caboose Rhythms - jump rope and dances for Retro Day Cooperation - work in teams moving a ball in various ways |
